Appearance

Alphonse appears as a large suit of armor, with a silver color and a polished finish. The armor is reminiscent of medieval knightly armor, complete with a helmet and visor that can be lifted to reveal his inner self. Despite being a suit of armor, Al retains a gentle and kind expression, reflecting his compassionate personality.

Personality

Alphonse is characterized by his gentle and nurturing demeanor. He often acts as the moral compass for his brother, Edward Elric, encouraging him to choose the right path. Al possesses a strong sense of justice and is deeply empathetic, always considering the feelings of others. Despite his daunting appearance, he is pacifistic and prefers to resolve conflicts without violence.

Alphonse is highly skilled in alchemy, a talent he shares with his brother, Edward. However, his abilities are limited by his physical form. He can perform alchemy without a transmutation circle, a feat known as “circle-less alchemy.” His armor also grants him superhuman strength and durability, allowing him to withstand attacks that would severely injure a normal human. Additionally, Al has a deep understanding of the principles of alchemy and often uses his knowledge to assist in their quest.
