Yuika is a kind and considerate girl. This is shown when she expresses concern for Komura after hearing him quietly groaning to himself during class. She is also good at reading the room. After noticing the situation, she approached Mei and asked if they could switch seats so Mei could sit next to Komura while she moved to a spot where she could see the board more clearly.

Yuika made her debut in Komura and Mei’s second year of school. She was seated next to Komura and immediately noticed his distress when he became flustered seeing Azuma interact with Mei. She offered him water and asked if he needed to go to the nurse, showing her concern. After introductions, Yuika requested to swap seats with Mei due to her poor vision, which made both girls happy. She was later seen in art class struggling alongside Mei.
