Azuma is a kind and easygoing boy. He’s good at reading the room and understanding situations. He gets along with everyone, which makes him very popular.

Azuma first appears when he notices Mie struggling to find her textbook after forgetting her glasses. He gently guides her hand to the correct book. Mie mistakes him for Komura and thanks him, but he laughs it off and reassures her before returning to his seat.

The next day, Mie finds a love letter. Komura tells her it is meant for Azuma, so she innocently hands it to him in front of the whole class, causing everyone to think she is confessing. Azuma reads the letter privately, already aware it isn’t from Mie. When rumors spread, he later clears the misunderstanding by explaining that Mie only picked the letter up from the floor.

Azuma is later seen behind the gym receiving a confession from a girl. He thanks her but gently rejects her, saying he already likes someone else. He continues to appear throughout the school festival preparations and later earns a nomination for Perfect Attendance alongside Komura, Mei, and Yuika.
