Yukana Kishi

Yukana Kishi (岸 優花菜, Kishi Yukana) is an antagonist in the Romantic Killer series. She is an unstable stalker in her twenties who fell in love with Tsukasa Kazuki while he was in junior high. Her obsessive behavior is the cause of his fear of being around women who are attracted to him and contributes to his seemingly cold disposition.

Kishi is a woman in her twenties with a mild smile and sometimes staggered movements, especially around Kazuki. She has upper-back length dark-red hair with short bangs above her eyebrows, and matching dark-red eyes that reflect her instability, often showing small, contracted irises when obsessed or shocked.

In Tsukasa Kazuki’s flashbacks, she wears a navy suit jacket with a frilled shirt and long skirt. In the anime, during his middle school days, she is seen only in the navy jacket. When confronted by Anzu Hoshino, she wears a blue skirt or a matching one-piece dress.

Personality

Kishi exhibits extreme yandere tendencies, stalking Tsukasa Kazuki by waiting for him before and after school, secretly photographing him, sending packages under false names, and even drugging him to be alone. She is delusional about their relationship, believing they are lovers despite minimal interaction and the significant age gap. Her personality likely changed after Riri wiped her memories of the past few years.

History

Yukana Kishi became obsessed with Tsukasa Kazuki while he was in junior high, developing an unhealthy yandere fixation. Her stalking and manipulative behavior instilled fear in him, shaping his cautious and seemingly cold demeanor around women. Over time, her actions escalated, involving covert surveillance, gifts, and attempts to isolate him. After Riri erased her memories of the past few years, her personality and behavior likely changed.

Etymology

  • The name Yukana means “excellence, superiority, gentleness” (優) (yu), “flower, blossom” (花) (ka) and “vegetables, greens” (菜) (na).
    • The kanji “優” is ironic considering her obsessive nature with Tsukasa Kazuki.
  • Yukana’s surname Kishi means “shore, bank, coast” (岸).
