Personality

Youta Narukami is kind, mild-mannered, and considerate, always willing to help others even in difficult situations. He has a gentle and approachable demeanor, which makes him easy to get along with, but he can be easily flustered, especially when the topic of romance arises. This is particularly evident when Kyouko Izanami is mentioned as his “girlfriend,” causing him to blush or become embarrassed. Despite his shy and sometimes awkward nature, Youta is determined and caring, often going out of his way to support those he values, especially Hina Satō, whom he grows close to throughout the series. His kindness and genuine concern for others make him a reliable and empathetic companion in the face of extraordinary circumstances.

History

After Hina Satō foresees the end of the world, she chooses Youta Narukami as her companion to spend her remaining time with and witness the world’s final days. The two first meet near a basketball court in a park, where their encounter marks the beginning of their close bond and the story’s central relationship.
