Personality

Oushi is described as someone with good intentions beneath his upfront and blunt demeanor. Although he often comes across as harsh or straightforward, his actions reveal that he is, in truth, a kind and caring person.

This side of him is most evident in how he acts toward his childhood friend, Yuki. Because of her being deaf, Oushi tends to be protective of her, always looking out for her well-being and stepping in when he feels she might need support.

History

When Oushi was little, he accompanied his sister to the compulsory civic center, where he first saw a girl communicating through sign language. Her way of expressing herself without words caught his attention and left a lasting impression on him.

Motivated by curiosity and interest, Oushi decided to learn sign language. Over time, this skill became an important part of who he is and later allowed him to communicate meaningfully with Yuki Itose.

Although Oushi and Yuki are childhood friends, they were not particularly close growing up since Yuki attended a school for the deaf until she graduated. However, their connection rekindled in college, where they began talking again and slowly rebuilt their friendship.
