Appearance
Urara has long black hair tied into a ponytail with a red ribbon and distinctive brown eyes, heart-shaped in the manga and normal in the anime. As a typical idol-type character, she is cute and petite, with many fans across the academy. She wears the standard Tōtsuki uniform appropriate to the season, along with a red and white armband that signifies her role as an emcee.
Personality
Urara enjoys being in the spotlight and tends to act cute while hosting a Shokugeki, much like an idol. She is highly popular among the boys, which often irritates other girls. As the emcee for many academy events, she is well-informed about most students, knowing at least the common details of their reputations and achievements.
Despite her sweet and gentle appearance, Urara is extremely jealous when men focus on other women, such as Ikumi, even cursing her in her thoughts and insisting that she alone deserves fans. She can also sense when another woman is attracting attention, even from afar, as seen when she sensed the men’s excitement over Miyoko. Urara takes her hosting duties seriously and dislikes it when others interrupt, like when Alice served her curry without being called.
During the Promotion Exam Arc, after being brainwashed by Azami, Urara’s personality became far more aggressive and foul-mouthed. Her once-idol-like charm turned sinister, and she adopted a punk-inspired appearance. As an emcee, she heavily favored Central, showering them with praise while harshly mocking the Rebels. She also became blunt and unfiltered, openly lashing out or flipping off anyone who criticized her.
