Following the destruction of her forces and her subsequent capture by Keyaru, she attempts to justify her past actions, including the destruction of Alban Village and the deaths of its inhabitants, through apologies and rationalizations.

After being subjected to Keyaru’s brainwashing and memory alteration, Norn assumes the identity of Ellen, a personality that is gentle, obedient, and entirely devoted to Keyaru, whom she reveres as her elder brother. This version of herself reflects what she might have become had she not been shaped by the corruption and cruelty of the Jioral Kingdom. Ellen’s demeanor underscores the contrast between her former sadism and her innate capacity for innocence and kindness, highlighting the impact of her environment in shaping her original personality.

Norn Clatarissa Jioral is depicted as a young girl of noble bearing, with medium-length peach-pink hair and green eyes. Her appearance closely resembles that of her elder sister, Flare Arlgrande Jioral, though her build is smaller and less mature. Norn Clatarissa Jioral was raised in Jioral Castle alongside her mother and elder sister, Flare Arlgrande Jioral. During her early years in the royal household, Norn, her mother, and her sister were subjected to harassment by the king’s other daughters. Initially, Norn shared a close relationship with Flare, but this bond deteriorated after Flare was chosen as the Magic Hero, a position that elevated her status within the kingdom.

As Flare’s importance to the royal family grew, she began to distance herself from Norn, treating her with disdain. Keyaru
In the original timeline, Norn displays cruelty toward Keyaru, mocking and tormenting him when he cowers in her presence. In the rewritten timeline, she instigates conflict in Buranikka that results in the death of one of Keyaru’s companions. In retaliation, Keyaru captures Norn, subjects her to psychological and physical torment, and ultimately erases her memories. He then brainwashes her into believing she is his younger sister, renaming her Ellen. The process, however, inadvertently makes her develop an intense emotional attachment to him, complicating their dynamic.

Flare Arlgrande Jioral
Norn and Flare were close during childhood, but their relationship fractured as Flare rose to prominence as the Magic Hero. While Flare was celebrated, Norn was dismissed as a disappointment within the royal family, straining their bond. Norn later cultivated her abilities as a strategist in an attempt to earn Flare’s recognition, though this effort was never acknowledged. Outwardly, Norn came to treat Flare with scorn, often referring to her as “garbage.” During her eventual capture, however, Keyaru reveals that Norn’s ambition was rooted in a desire for her sister’s approval, a wish that was erased under the weight of his brainwashing.
