Lola Metrose (ローラ・メトラーゼ, Rōra Metorāze) is one of the main characters in the light novel, manga, and anime series Ore Dake Haireru Kakushi Dungeon. She is a receptionist at the Odin Adventurer Guild and serves as the primary quest manager for Noir Stardia. Known for her beauty, charm, and competitive nature, Lola often blends her professional duties with a personal rivalry for Noir’s affections.
Background

Appearance in Anime
Lola is the daughter of two highly ranked adventurers, who once held the first and second positions in the Odin Adventurer Guild’s strength rankings. Choosing a different path from her parents, she became a receptionist at the guild, where she manages adventurers’ quests and assignments. Two centuries before the events of the series, Olivia Servant was an S-Class adventurer affiliated with the Odin Adventurer Guild. Known for her strength and eccentricity, she had a habit of burying treasure chests across the country though some contained humorous or trivial items, such as the one later discovered by Noir, Luna, and Leila, which held only a piece of preserved underwear imbued with a skill to prevent deterioration.
She first met Noir Stardia when he joined the guild, initially doubting his claim of being Olivia Servant’s successor. Lola later became Noir’s exclusive receptionist through a formal agreement, handling all of his guild-related matters. Outside of work, she maintains a close friendship with Luna Heela. Lola’s birthday is March 21.
Appearance
Lola has short, chin-length brown hair and eyes of a matching shade. She typically wears a dark green dress paired with a white apron tied at her waist. Her outfit includes black stockings and matching arm coverings that extend to her elbows, finished with deep green cuffs trimmed in white. She completes her look with royal blue pumps. Around her neck, she wears a white collar and a red tie adorned with an emblem at its end.
Personality
Lola is portrayed as a composed and graceful woman, exuding an air of maturity that gives her a slightly mysterious presence. She maintains a calm and professional attitude in her role as a guild receptionist, though her nonchalant manner can make her difficult to read.
She takes great care in her appearance, often touching up her makeup when Noir visits the guild. Despite her confidence in most situations, Lola harbors insecurities about her abilities, particularly her skill in monster restraint. Coming from a family of top-ranking adventurers, she tends to downplay her own potential in order to avoid direct comparisons to her parents.
Relationships
Noir Stardia
When Noir first joined the Odin Adventurer Guild, Lola doubted his claim of being Olivia Servant’s disciple. After losing a bet over the matter, she was forced to flip her skirt and confess, “I love you, Noir.” Impressed by his character, she gradually fell in love with him. As Noir’s exclusive receptionist, she arranges quests for him and offers various “bonuses” in addition to standard rewards for successfully completed requests, including affectionate gestures and playful intimacy. She even created “Touch Me (Noir) Anywhere” and “Touch Lola Anywhere” coupons, using them to give him body massages capable of granting him large amounts of Life Points (LP). Lola secretly hopes to marry Noir, and in the anime adaptation, she becomes slightly delusional, believing they were destined lovers from past lives. Despite her own considerable strength attributable to her adventurer parents, Lola prefers to support Noir in a secondary role, though he is impressed by her combat abilities.
Emma Brightness
Lola views Emma as her main romantic rival for Noir’s affections and is particularly frustrated by Emma’s more developed figure. Despite their rivalry, they maintain a friendship and mutual respect, with Emma also acknowledging Lola’s strength after seeing her easily defeat a monster. Following the dance party incident and witnessing Emma’s growing closeness with Noir, Lola began to pursue him more aggressively, aiming to overtake Emma as his primary love interest.
Luna Heela
Lola’s closest friend, with whom she shares a warm and affectionate bond. She is protective of Luna, particularly after discovering that the Lift Curse skill was shortening her friend’s lifespan, an oversight that filled her with guilt. Although both women compete for Noir’s attention, their friendship remains strong.
Leila Overlock
A casual friend with whom Lola gets along well despite their shared romantic interest in Noir. Both occasionally show jealousy toward each other, but Leila also expresses admiration for Lola’s combat skills, recognizing her heritage as the daughter of elite adventurers.
Sarah Longhram
A rival receptionist who undermines Lola by poaching her adventurers and taking credit for their accomplishments, often bribing them with rewards intended for her own clients. Sarah frequently boasts of her superiority while antagonizing Lola, yet plays the victim if confronted. Even after losing to Lola, she remains a source of trouble, prompting Lola to keep a close watch on her particularly as Sarah has shown interest in seducing Noir.
Etymology
The given name Lola is of Spanish origin, often used as a diminutive of Dolores, meaning “sorrows.” Her surname, Metrose (メトラーゼ), does not have an officially confirmed meaning, though it may be derived from European-sounding phonetics to convey a foreign or fantasy-inspired origin. In Japanese, her full name is written as ローラ・メトラーゼ (Rōra Metorāze) using katakana, which is typically used for non-Japanese names.
