Ri Shin

Ri Shin (李信, Ri Shin), formerly known as Shin, is the main protagonist of Kingdom. As the leader of the famed Hi Shin Unit and a General of the Qin Military, Shin has become one of the most influential figures in the Warring States period of China. His dream of becoming the Greatest General underneath the Heavens was instilled in him by his late adoptive and sworn brother, Hyou. Hyou’s death was the catalyst for Shin’s journey, leading him to take up the sword and pursue his goal of achieving greatness on the battlefield, with the aim of having his name go down in history alongside the greatest of generals.

Shin’s journey is defined by his humble beginnings as an orphan raised as a slave in the small village of Jouto. His early life was marked by hardships, but his chance encounter with King Ei Sei of Qin and his involvement in the young king’s battle for the throne set Shin on the path to becoming a military commander.
