He is a top agent of the British intelligence agency MI-6 and serves as the field leader of their Contractor team. His Messier Code is BK-112.
Background

Appearance in Anime
Little is revealed about November 11’s personal history. He has been affiliated with MI-6 since before the events of Heaven’s War and is believed to have worked alongside Amber then known by her codename February during that period. His past missions and activities prior to arriving in Tokyo remain classified, though his experience and authority suggest a long-standing tenure with the agency.
Personality
November 11 is an intelligent, charismatic, and witty individual with a composed and collected nature typical of most Contractors. He often displays a dry sense of humor and is known to make light-hearted remarks, even in serious situations. Despite his usually calm behavior during combat, he occasionally expresses surprise most notably during his encounter with BK-201, where he was taken aback by Hei’s refusal to make the logical choice, which contradicted the expected behavior of a Contractor.
Beneath his professional exterior, November 11 is notably considerate toward his allies, displaying a level of kindness and empathy that sets him apart from other Contractors. Over time, he begins to see his teammates not just as fellow agents but as genuine friends, indicating a gradual evolution in his outlook. Although he shows no hesitation in eliminating enemies, even after conflict ends, his concern for his comrades reveals a deeper layer of humanity. Ironically, while he openly dislikes smoking, his Obeisance the compulsory action required to use his Contractor powers involves smoking a cigarette.
Appearance
November 11 is a tall and well-built man with neatly styled blonde hair and sharp blue eyes, giving him a refined and striking appearance. His usual attire consists of a crisp white business suit, complemented by a light purple dress shirt and a darker purple tie, creating a distinctive and elegant contrast. His polished and professional appearance aligns with his role as an MI-6 operative, giving him an air of sophistication and authority.
Abilities
Liquid-Induced Cryokinesis
November 11 possesses the ability to freeze liquids without direct contact, a specialized form of cryokinesis. He can solidify water into sharp, deadly projectiles or defensive barriers, and is capable of freezing the fluids within a target’s body, making his attacks both versatile and lethal.
Obeisance
As remuneration for using his power, he must smoke a cigarette after each activation, something he personally detests, despite the necessity.
Peak Athleticism
In addition to his Contractor ability, November 11 exhibits impressive speed and agility, often able to evade attacks with split-second precision. His physical capabilities complement his tactical skills in close combat.
Strategic Intellect
Known for his composure and foresight, November 11 is a natural tactician. He often anticipates potential setbacks, as demonstrated by his preparation for internal leaks within the Japanese police. His ability to adapt quickly and lead others makes him a formidable operative.
Part in the Story
November 11 serves as a top MI-6 operative and plays a significant role throughout Darker than Black: The Black Contractor. Alongside his teammates April and July, he is first introduced tracking down the Contractor Havoc in Romania. After securing intelligence by force, he uses his ability to eliminate threats and ultimately captures Havoc, transporting her to Tokyo.
Once in Tokyo, November liaises with the Japanese police, particularly Misaki Kirihara, and reveals his mission involving PANDORA. When their transport is attacked, he reveals that Havoc had been hidden in a suitcase to ensure her safety. Despite his efforts, she is recaptured during a battle with Hei.
Continuing to aid Misaki, November locates Havoc and ultimately uses his power to kill her, believing her powers had resurfaced and she posed a threat. He later engages Hei in a battle where, despite gaining a brief advantage, he is wounded and forced to retreat when Huang intervenes with explosives.
Following Amber’s reappearance, November is tasked with her capture. He begins investigating a series of bombings linked to Evening Primrose and tracks down the Contractor Maki. Though caught in an explosion and captured, November refuses to join EPR and is later rescued thanks to July. With April and July’s help, he defeats Maki in a final confrontation.
As EPR’s activities escalate, November meets Misaki outside the American Embassy and warns her about Robert Schroeder’s abduction. After infiltrating the embassy and confronting Brita, he arranges a meeting with Amber.
Later, suspecting internal betrayal, November confronts his superior, Decade, and accuses him of conspiring with the Syndicate. Confirming his suspicions, November kills Decade and his associates. Mortally wounded from the confrontation, he staggers outside, discards his cigarette, a rejection of his final obeisance and dies alone on the street, having fulfilled his mission.
