Appearance in Anime

Sebastian Moran is a highly capable sniper and loyal member of the Moriarty group. After aligning himself with William James Moriarty, he proves to be one of the most committed individuals within the organization, carrying out missions with precision and determination. Though he presents a serious and somewhat brooding image, Moran is notably trusting and deeply invested in William’s vision of creating a society built on equal rights.

Despite his confidence and battlefield experience, Moran often displays a surprising vulnerability among his peers. He becomes visibly flustered during arguments, such as when Bonde confronts him in the locker room, and shows unease around Louis, particularly regarding household responsibilities. Albert also takes pleasure in teasing him, which Moran tolerates with a mix of frustration and affection.

He frequently adopts a protective, older-brother role within the group and views its members as a surrogate family. During the Baskerville mission, he steps in to break up a conflict between Louis and Fred, reinforcing his role as a stabilizing presence.

However, Moran carries emotional wounds from his time in the Afghan War and the loss of his comrades. These unresolved traumas surface again after William fakes his death. Feeling betrayed and abandoned, Moran reacts with visible pain when they reunite, expressing his hurt before being quickly reassured by William’s return.
