Tio Klarus (ティオ・クラルス, Tio Kurarusu), is one of the main female protagonists of the Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest (Arifureta Shokugyō de Sekai Saikyō) series. A proud and powerful member of the exiled dragonmen race, Tio is a princess of her people and a formidable combatant who possesses the unique ability to transform into a mighty black dragon. Initially introduced as an enemy under the influence of mind control, Tio eventually becomes one of Hajime Nagumo’s trusted allies and later his wife after the fall of their godlike adversary, Ehit.
Though noble and dignified by nature, Tio’s personality takes a drastic turn following her first encounter with Hajime, awakening a strong masochistic side that becomes one of her most distinctive and comedic traits throughout the story.
