History

Appearance in Anime
Jamie was once a mage in Thunder Pike, a well-known A-rank party. Her rise to fame led to arrogance, and she often relied on the party’s strength rather than her own initiative. During a particular mission, Yuke, a key member of the team, demanded a larger share of the reward, arguing that his stat buffs were essential in securing their victory. However, Barry and Simon dismissed his request, belittling him and insisting that he was already paid what he was worth. Jamie remained silent as Yuke was ridiculed and ultimately left the party. Simon reassured the team that Yuke was unnecessary, and Thunder Pike quickly replaced him with an archer before venturing into their next dungeon.
Inside the dungeon, Simon’s recklessness led to disaster, he neglected to use beast repellent, resulting in the group being ambushed by a pack of Dile Wolves. The battle quickly turned dire, and Jamie was severely injured, nearly being torn apart before Simon managed to slay the attacking wolf and pull her to safety. As the team attempted to retreat, they realized that Camila, their healer, had exhausted her mana, leaving her unable to heal Jamie’s wounds. Additionally, Simon and Barry had no potions left, further jeopardizing her life. Their newly recruited archer, despite initially admonishing the team for failing to manage their own supplies, ultimately gave his potion to save Jamie, expressing pity for her due to Simon’s poor leadership. Though she survived, the traumatic experience left Jamie terrified of dungeons, and she began to withdraw, fearing that she would become a burden to the party.
In the aftermath, Jamie secluded herself in her room, where she watched a Clover livestream, catching a glimpse of Yuke, whom she regarded with regret and sorrow. When she later returned to dungeon expeditions, she was assigned to set up the livestream. However, her lack of healing magic led Barry to berate her as “useless,” further crushing her confidence. Though Simon defended her, Jamie was visibly hurt by the remark. Barry continued to complain, lamenting their poor-quality meals and even admitting that he missed Yuke’s cooking, as Yuke had once ensured that they had decent food. Camila chastised Barry, telling him to bring his own supplies, but Barry scoffed at the suggestion, dismissing the idea that he would ever need potions.
The livestream went on, and yet again, Thunder Pike was publicly humiliated, reinforcing their decline. After returning to the tavern, Jamie distanced herself from the group, sitting alone, as if she no longer felt like part of Thunder Pike. It was then that she overheard Simon scheming to blackmail Yuke, leaving her visibly shocked and disgusted by the depths to which her party had sunk.
Appearance
Jamie is a young girl with blonde hair, which she ties back with two ribbons, while her evenly cut fringe extends to eye level. She has green eyes and a distinct feature of freckles concentrated in the center of her face.
She possesses a voluptuous figure and wears an outfit resembling that of a circus performer, a purple dress that enhances her striking appearance. Complementing her attire, she wears black silk long gloves that extend just below her shoulders, along with matching black silk tights, giving her an elegant yet theatrical look.
Personality
Unlike the rest of Thunder Pike, Jamie was notably kinder and less arrogant than her teammates. While she initially enjoyed the group’s fame, she did not display the same level of overconfidence as Simon, Barry, and the others. However, she rarely stood up against their poor decisions, often remaining passive rather than actively challenging their behavior.
After Yuke’s departure, Jamie continued to follow the party, but her near death experience caused by Simon’s recklessness and the group’s mismanagement of supplies became a turning point for her. Realizing how careless and unreliable Thunder Pike had become, she withdrew from adventuring, isolating herself in her room and refusing to accompany the team on further expeditions. Her growing disillusionment and fear of dungeons marked the beginning of her separation from Thunder Pike, ultimately leading her to seek a different path.
Role in the Story
Jamie’s role in the story is one of redemption, inner conflict, and reluctant camaraderie. As a former elite adventurer, she has valuable experience but struggles with trusting others and being trusted herself. Her past with Thunder Pike also makes her one of the few people who understands Yuke’s abilities and the weight of their past adventures.
Throughout the story, Jamie grapples with her sense of guilt, the stigma of her crimes, and the difficult road to redemption. Her interaction with Clover’s members allows her to develop a new identity beyond her past mistakes, though she often keeps a wary distance from full emotional attachment.
Her guild work also provides an interesting dynamic, while she is no longer an elite adventurer, her knowledge of the system, her street-smarts, and her ability to navigate complex situations make her an unexpectedly effective force behind the scenes.
