Tarō Kabakura (樺倉 太郎, Kabakura Tarō) is Hirotaka Nifuji’s co-worker at the office and the husband of Hanako Koyanagi. He is a more laid-back otaku who enjoys heroes and bishoujo (beautiful girls). Along with his wife Hanako, Tarō works at an undisclosed company alongside Narumi Momose and Hirotaka Nifuji.

Tarō is a handsome young man with spiky orange hair and small orange or light brown eyes. His eyes often lead his co-workers to describe him as a scary person, giving him a somewhat intimidating presence despite his otherwise laid-back demeanor. He typically wears a white button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up halfway to his elbows, paired with a red-blue tie. When he is at home, Tarō lets his hair down, adopting a more relaxed appearance.

Personality

Tarō is a genuine and casual otaku, with a particular fondness for bishoujo anime. While he enjoys his hobbies, he is also very serious about his work, often approaching it with a strong sense of responsibility. Compared to his peers, Tarō is notably optimistic and tends to maintain a positive outlook. His preferences are often considered easy to figure out by those around him, as he is open about his likes and dislikes.

Relationship

Hanako Koyanagi

Tarō and Hanako have been together since high school, though neither of them can recall who confessed first. They often argue in public, but when they’re alone, they act like a typical couple. Tarō is sometimes annoyed when Hanako forces him to participate in activities related to yaoi, and he is frequently seen blushing when Hanako reads erotic yaoi manga. Despite his often cold demeanor, Tarō genuinely loves Hanako. In Vol. 9, Ch. 65.3, they get married, and Hanako becomes Hanako Kabakura (樺倉 花子). In Chapter 86, when Tarō learns that Hanako is pregnant and he will become a father, he is overwhelmed with emotion, hugging her and crying. The “Afterward” section of Chapter 86 predicted that they would have a daughter, with the accompanying illustration showing Tarō sitting on the floor with his daughter, watching anime together.

Hirotaka Nifuji

Tarō and Hirotaka share a good bond outside of work, often showing camaraderie and mutual respect.

Narumi Momose

Tarō finds Narumi “cute” and considers her his “type” due to his preference for small, cute girls, similar to his admiration for Ranka Lee from Macross Frontier. Although he acknowledges that Narumi is bad at her job and somewhat airheaded, he thinks her smile is her most redeeming quality. When Narumi interacts with other men, like Naoya Nifuji, Tarō becomes antsy and protective, resembling a “fatherly” figure, showing his care and concern for her.Tatsu fully commits himself to managing the household, taking pride in cleaning, cooking, and handling all domestic duties with meticulous care. An exceptional cook, he has a unique flair for making even the simplest dishes look “cute” and charming. However, Tatsu’s past as a feared yakuza member makes it nearly impossible for him to leave the house without drawing attention—whether from law enforcement or other members of the underworld, both of whom easily recognize his formidable presence.
