He believes that heroes must take responsibility for their actions and accept that their work may often go unappreciated. Bang empathized with Saitama when the latter was wrongly blamed by Tanktop Black Hole, though he did not intervene, acknowledging that heroes frequently face such hardships.

He now seeks to leave behind his violent past, which is evident during his battle with Garou, when he refuses to use his old, destructive technique, the Exploding Heart Release Fist, even though it could have given him an advantage.

Bomb defeated Bang in the ensuing battle and advised him to “cool off,” leaving him to reflect on his actions. This loss humbled Bang and helped him realize the error of his ways, prompting him to create a new, defense-oriented martial arts style. Inspired by Bomb’s example, Bang opened his own dojo, focusing on teaching his students the newly created Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist.
