Appearance

Vanica Zogratis is a woman with medium-length black hair, and her most distinctive feature is an eyepatch over her right eye, emblazoned with a gold spade symbol.

Her outfit includes a high-collared brown vest and matching short skirt, with a wide black belt at her waist, which holds her grimoire pouch. She also wears two belts forming an X across her chest, a third belt around her skirt, and a dark blue fur coat with a short white fur mantle. Vanica completes her look with thigh-high brown boots and a gold tiara adorned with red jewels.

When using 50% of Megicula’s power, Vanica sprouts curved horns, bat-like wings, and the marking under her eyepatch expands. Her right canine elongates, and dark magic covers half her body. At 70%, more of her body is covered, a symbol appears on her chest, and she grows a tail. At 100%, her body is fully covered in black, with additional horns, fangs, longer nails, and a black crown atop her head. Her wings and legs are also transformed with black armor-like features.

When Megicula takes control of Vanica’s body, her hair lightens on the right side, her right pupil becomes slit-like, and a black mark appears around her left eye in the shape of a circle with dots.

As a member of the Dark Triad, Vanica exudes an aura of confidence and power while seated on her throne. Her playful yet ruthless demeanor reflects her chaotic nature, and her mastery of Blood Magic allows her to inflict significant damage on her opponents.

Personality

Vanica Zogratis is an energetic and thrill-seeking individual who enjoys flashy displays for her own amusement. She despises boredom and craves excitement, especially through challenging battles. Vanica prefers fighting strong opponents who are at their best, as she finds battling weaker ones uninteresting. She often mocks weaker foes as “trash” and seeks out powerful adversaries, such as Lolopechka, to satisfy her thirst for exhilarating combat.

Vanica fully supports Dante Zogratis’s plan to create the Tree of Qliphoth, which would summon devils into the world and cause massive destruction. She views this as an opportunity to eliminate the weak and leave only strong survivors for her to fight. Although she loves facing strong opponents, she often forgets past battles due to her one-track focus on future pleasures, only remembering them when pushed to her limits.

Like her fellow Dark Triad members, Vanica displays a callous and inhumane demeanor. She orders the massacre of Heart Kingdom citizens and directs her subordinates to attack densely populated areas, all to provoke her targets into fighting her more seriously. She also takes hostages to motivate her desired opponents to grow stronger for her own future entertainment.

Despite her devoted followers’ loyalty, Vanica is dismissive and indifferent toward them. She finds their expressions of gratitude meaningless and is unbothered by their reverence. She is willing to hurt or dispose of her own subordinates to achieve her goals, having sacrificed over a hundred Dark Disciples without hesitation.

Battle Powers

Blood Magic

Vanica wields Blood Magic, allowing her to generate and manipulate blood. She primarily uses this magic to shape her blood into claws that can create flying slashes or into spikes to impale her opponents. This versatile magic enables Vanica to unleash brutal and deadly attacks during combat.

Enhanced Strength

Vanica has incredible physical strength, demonstrated when she slams a large man into the ground and pierces his shoulder with her boot with little effort.

Immense Magic Power

As a devil host, Vanica possesses immense magic power. She easily blocks powerful spells, such as Sea Dragon’s Roar, which can break through walls and even injure the Spirit of Fire, yet she dismisses it as an insignificant attack.

Devil-Possessed

As a member of the Dark Triad, Vanica is the host of Megicula, one of the highest-ranking devils, who grants her immense power. She can initially access up to 70% of Megicula’s power, but after the first gate to the underworld opens, she can reach 100%. Megicula’s magic power surpasses that of Zagred, making Vanica a formidable threat even compared to the captains of the Clover Kingdom and the Elf Tribe’s apostles.
